Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 is still going strong at the box office and the film has managed to break many records since its release. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, it is the second installment of Arshad Warsi’s 2013 courtroom drama Jolly LLB.
The film made it to Rs 100 crore club in week 2 of its release and also surpassed the lifetime collections of the first installment Jolly LLB in just two days of its release. Jolly LLB 2 has proved to be one of the best career choices of Akshay Kumar and has made him third actor after Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, with the most number of films which crossed Rs 100 crore mark.
Jolly LLB 2 is Akshay’s 7th film to cross Rs 100 crore. After surpassing the lifetime collections of Jolly LLB, the film has now left behind the collections of Akshay’s Housefull 3 and will soon cross the collections of his other two films Holiday and Housefull 2.
In week 3 of its release, the movie did a business of Rs 1.75 crore on Friday, Rs 2.01 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.50 crore on Sunday, minting a total of Rs 110.71 crore so far.
Jolly LLB 2 is also the third film of this year to enter Rs 100 crore club and the film has also left behinds the recent release Rangoon in terms of box office collection. Made on a budget of Rs 45 crore, the film was in profit from the first day of its release, as the cost was already recovered earlier through digital, satellite and music rights.
