One of the most awaited Bollywood films of the year, Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, is slated to be released tomorrow. Written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari and jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film is based on the true story of former wrestler-turned-coach, Mahavir Singh Phogat.
While Dangal Box Office is all set to create new records, the film is also eyeing to create wonders at the Kerala Box Office. As per the early trends, the Aamir Khan starrer is slated to be released in nearly 100 screens at the Mollywood Box Office. Four major Malayalam Christmas releases including Mohanlal – Meena starrer Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol, Prithviraj’s Ezra, Sathyan Anthikad – Dulquer Salmaan’s Jomonte Visheshangal and Jayasurya starrer Fukri, were expected to hit the screens tomorrow. However, none of these films are releasing due to the dispute between the Film Producers Associations and Exhibitors association. The delay in the release date of Malayalam films has worked wonders for Dangal to get maximum numbers of screens across the Kerala.
Meanwhile, Dangal is all set to beat the opening day collections of highest Bollywood grosser of the year, Salman Khan starrer Sultan at the Kerala Box Office, especially at the Cochin multiplexes. The Ghajini actor’s film is releasing in nearly 50 screens alone in the multiplexes of Cochin compared to Sultan, which had released on 33 screens upon its release. The advance booking at the multiplexes are also strong and will have a huge opening day for Dangal at the Kerala Box Office.
The music of Dangal has been composed by Pritam. The film also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim.
