The theme song of Veeram starring Kunal Kapoor has been released and it will treat your music senses. The song ‘We Will Rise’ has been nominated for the Academy Awards, is composed by Jeff Rona and crooned by Kari Kimmel. Jeff had earlier composed music for movies like Phantom, God of Water, and Traffic III.
The song was launched today by none other than Amitabh Bachchan on micro-blogging website Twitter. Well, the song might become the next chart-topping number of the country.
Directed by national award winning filmmaker Jayaraj Nair, the film has been produced by Chandramohan Pillai and Pradeep Rajan of Chandrakala Arts.
The film is inspired by Shakespeare’s play Macbeth which will show Kunal’s character Chanthu Chekavar in a quest for power. Chanthu was believed to have lived in the 16th century in North Malabar. A look at the trailer tells that Kunal has done a tremendous job in getting into the skin of the character.

Veeram’s trailer which was released a few days ago was received with appreciation by the viewers. The clip introduced Kunal’s character and informed us how he was chosen to be the lieutenant of the King’s army. Few seconds into the trailer and one realises that Chanthu is not as noble as he seems. His ulterior motives are revealed later about how he is influenced by a woman.
