Needless to say Baahubali: The Beginning was the turning point of Southern star Prabhas’ acting career. He gained immense popularity for his role as Mahendra Baahubali in the film. The actor, who invested four years for the two part of Baahubali franchise got nostalgic, as the first part of the film clocked two years. On Monday, July 10, he took to his social media platform and posted a heartfelt message and thanked his fans for making the film a huge hit. He also said that he owes the success of the film to SS Rajamouli, the director of the film.
Thanking his fans and filmmaker SS Rajamouli, in a Facebook post, Prabhas wrote: “Today marks the completion of two years to the release of a very special film of mine, ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’. I feel a deep sense of nostalgia and I have been reminiscing the early days when the entire team was working on this film with so much passion. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all my fans who don’t leave any chance to make me feel so loved and special. Congratulations to the entire Baahubali team for this day, especially the man behind all of it, S.S. Rajamouli. We owe it all to you.”

Released on 10 July 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning turned out to be the highest-grossing film of the year. It garnered great success at the Box Office with a collection of Rs 650 crore worldwide (approx). In India alone, the film did a business of Rs 518 crore including all languages. With this, the film has become the highest-grossing movie in India.
Apart from Prabhas, the film also featured Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj in a key role.
