Priyanka Chopra has been quite the hit out in the west. The Bollywood actress made it big by leading ABC’s crime drama thriller series Quantico and will be making her Hollywood debut with her upcoming film Baywatch. Now, even before the release of Baywatch, PeeCee has been in talks for a second Hollywood film. Recently, reports surfaced that Priyanka might be joining the cast of A Kid Like Jake.
Much like Baywatch, this film also boasts a stellar cast including established actors like Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer and Emmy Award-winning actors Claire Danes and Jim Parsons, who is well-known for his role as Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory.

As per reports, Priyanka Chopra is being eyed for the role of a newly single mother named Amal, a role she has never portrayed before. In A Kid Like Jake, Amal struggles with the school system while also finding it hard to get back into the dating game.
The story outlines the life of Greg Wheeler (Parsons) and Alex (Danes) and their four-year-old son Jake, who happens to be a lot more bright and quite advanced for his age. Jake is not a stereotypical boy and prefers to play with Cinderella rather than a G.I. Joe. Seeing his unconventional inclinations, the director of his preschool, Judy (Spencer) pushes the parents to highlight Jake’s “gender variant” expression and use it to gain a scholarship.

The film will be produced by Jim Parsons, his husband Todd Spiewak and Eric Norsoph, under the banner of their That’s Wonderful Productions. Directed by Silas Howard, A Kid Like Jake is also seeking to rope in Ann Dowd and Michaela Watkins along with Priyanka.
