Salman Khan will not appear on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his Eid release Tubelight. He will be seen in a special show with Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover, who walked out of TKSS a few months ago. It is indeed a setback for Kapil Sharma as his flagship show whose TRPs have believed to have nosedived following the mid-air fight with Grover.
In the past, Salman promoted his films Jai Ho, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo on Comedy Nights With Kapil. When Kapil launched his The Kapil Sharma Show last year, the 51-year-old actor promoted his wrestling drama Sultan with Anushka Sharma. Now, he will share the screen space with Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar, Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale on the show Supernight With Tubelight that will be aired on Sony. In Tubelight, Salman essays the role of Laxman who embarks on a mission to search his brother Bharat (Sohail Khan) who goes missing during the 1962 Indo-China War. The film has been directed by Kabir Khan.
Get ready to welcome Laxman Singh Bisht in your town! But before that, meet him very soon in @SupernightWithTubelight on Sony TV. pic.twitter.com/qnnM6lZUq8

Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover fell out following an in-flight feud that took place while travelling from Melbourne to Mumbai in February this year. It was reported that Kapil in an inebriated state had verbally and physically abused Grover. Since then, the latter walked out of TKSS. Since then, Grover has mostly resorted to doing his own live gigs whereas Kapil Sharma struggles to keep the show afloat.
