This week’s guests on Zee TV’s show Yaaron ki Baraat are Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Both SRK and Anushka, who are starring in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film The Ring, seemed pretty cozy on the show.
Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan, Yaaron ki Baraat is a show that celebrates friendships between stars. In the past, we’ve seen a lot of BFF jodis on the show including Suniel Shetty-Jacie Shroff, Parineeti Chopra-Sania Mirza, Sanjay Dutt-Ajay Devgn-Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan-Arjun Kapoor, and even the iconic, veteran duo Amitabh Bachchan-Shatrughan Sinha.
The two stars may have good on-screen chemistry but whether their off-screen relationship is simpatico remains unknown. On the show, however, the two seemed to hit it off really well and at one point Anushka got a bit cuddly with the King Khan.
It could just be that the two showed up on Yaaron ki Baraat just for the sake of promoting their upcoming film. I mean, Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor did it. SRK and Anushka undoubtedly have awesome chemistry on-screen with romantic films Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008 and Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012 but they certainly aren’t close friends. Anushka wasn’t even invited to SRK’s birthday!
Quite recently, Anushka Sharma had stated that she can’t really be friends with Shah Rukh, the reason being that she has too must respect for him. Anushka, who usually maintains a ‘back-slapping’ conduct with her buddies, can’t possibly feel that she can ever get that close to SRK since he is a lot more senior to him.
Sajid took to Twitter to share a photo of himself with Shah Rukh, Anushka and Riteish. “Surprise!!! Thanks to our yaars @iamsrk @AnushkaSharma we had a rollicking shoot #yaaronkibaraat with @Riteishd and urs truly…,” the filmmaker tweeted.

Frankly, Sajid Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are not “yaars” and you could’ve at least given your show a little time on air before you decided to digress from its real objective.
