Indian model and TV actress Hiba Nawab, who is currently ruling Zee TV as Pari on Meri Saasu Maa, is all set to rule Westeros with an Iron Throne… er, fist. Apparently, our TV serials are never a step behind when it comes to catching up on trends. Star Plus will be making a show based on the story of Game of Thrones. After Sasural Simar Ka recreated the House of Black and White in their show, another show has taken it further and is making a complete remake of the fantasy-drama show.
Obviously, it would be without the violence and nudity. I wonder what that would be like. Even the thought of it makes me cringe so hard that I actually kind of feel like watching it. Vishal Karwal is also said to be a part of this Game of Thrones remake.
The show will air on Star Plus. The channel was already planning on a remake of the show Homeland. The Indian Game of Thrones will feature Nawab as the daughter of a king and Karwal as a warrior. The sets for the show have already been prepared which means that it’s really happening.
The tentative name for the show is King’s Daughter which will be changed. I hope it’s not something like ‘Gaddi ka Khel‘ or ‘Takht ki Krida‘. You mock me now but it’s very much possible. A show named ‘Rani Mahal‘ was in the making which too would have been based on Game of Thrones. The cast for this Vikas Gupta’s adaptation of the show included Sakshi Tanwar, Reena Roy, Path Samthan, and Anita Hassnandani. I wonder which characters they would have played.
If you’re already praying to God against the show then don’t bother. The shooting has already begun in Mumbai thanks to producers Vivek Behl, Nisaar Parwez and Aalim Srivastava. It would be a challenge to even attempt at a Game of Thrones and to do one in India is so brave that it’s almost stupid.
