Election season is upon us and temperatures are running high, especially on social media. Trolls are all around and literally nothing is off-limits. And Swara Bhasker should know that better than most people. After akk, she is a woman who isn’t afraid to voice her opinions – be it on politics or social justice issues.
This time, she voiced her support for Kanhaiya Kumar, former President of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union. He will be contesting from Begusarai (CPI), and Bhasker took to Twitter to express her happiness.

Some people took offense to that and soon started calling her all kinds of names. Some even thought it’s a good idea to shame her for that masturbation scene in Veere Di Wedding because slut shaming is the favourite weapon of choice for trolls.
