The first look poster of Kamal Haasan’s much awaited film Vishwaroopam 2 is out. The film, written and directed by Kamal Haasan himself is a sequel to his 2013 hit, Vishwaroopam. It will see Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Bollywood actor Rahul Bose and director-actor Shekhar Kapur, reprising their respective roles from the original.
The poster features Kamal Haasan in a patriotic look with flag of India set in the backdrop. The actor took to his Twitter account to reveal the first look poster of Vishwaroopam 2. The Ulaganayakan also dedicated the photo to India and it’s people. Kamal Haasan captioned the image as: “With love my country and its people”
From the poster, it is clear that Kamal Haasan will be playing a true patriotic in Vishwaroopam 2. The first look also gives a clear idea that film is targeting its theatrical release in 2017. It’s indeed a smart move from the makers to reveal the poster with a patriotic theme. It should be noted that the film’s prequel, Vishwaroopam had to face many controversies upon its release due to a few posters and the theme of ‘terrorism’ in the film.

Vishwaroopam 2 was in news ever since the first producer of the film, Ascar Ravichandran failed to clear the fees of the entire cast and the rest in the team. However, a few months back, Kamal Haasan decided to bankroll the film under his production banner, Rajkamal Films International. The dubbing and VFX works of the film are currently progressing in Chennai.
Vishwaroopam will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
