While the film is just 9-days away for its grand theatrical release, the makers of Suriya starrer Singam 3 have changed their film title to Cingam 3. Yes, you heard it right! Henceforth, the film will be called as Cingam 3 aka C3.
The exact reason for this title change is yet-to-be-revealed. However, it has been learned from the Tamil film industry sources that the makers changed the title for the purpose of tax exemption. There are also reports that the makers changed the title to Cingam 3 due to SUN TV’s issue with the word ‘Singam’ in the title.
Written and directed by Hari and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner, Studio Green Productions, Cingam 3 stars Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as the female leads. The film also marks the acting debut of Thakur Anoop Singh, best known for bagging gold in the 2015 World bodybuilding championship in Thailand.
Cingam 3 is touted as one of the biggest films of Suriya’s acting career. The film marks the return of Tamil superstar in his most loved avatar, DSP Durai Singam.
Meanwhile, the promotions of Cingam 3 has started on a full swing as both Suriya and director Hari visited Thrissur, Kerala on Tuesday. The hit actor- director duo will be traveling to Trivandrum tomorrow before flying back to Tamil Nadu. Special promotions are being planned in Tirunelveli Perinba Vilas Theater tomorrow at 3: 00 PM and in Madurai Jazz Cinemas at 6: 30 PM.
Cingam 3 is scheduled to hit the screens on 26 January 2017. It’s interesting to see how the film will open as two Bollywood biggies are slated to release on the same weekend, Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees.
