Tamil superstar Suriya has done it, yet again. The actor’s last week release, Singam 3 has officially crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark at the Box Office worldwide. Directed by Hari and produced by Gnanavel Raja, the action-entertainer marks the third series of Singam franchise. Singam 3 stars Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as female leads.
And as expected, DCP Durai Singam is back with a bang as Singam 3 hits the century mark at the Box Office. It’s a remarkable feat considering that Singam 3 crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in 6 theatrical days. The action entertainer was released on 9 February. Also, a torrent site called Tamil Rockers streamed the pirated version of the film online on its opening day. However, the Singam 3 enjoyed a bountiful time at the Box Office without any hurdles.
The makers ‘Studio Green’ took to their Twitter page to reveal the update on Tuesday evening;
“The film is still going strong in domestic and international markets and the combined collection of Tamil and Telugu versions is pegged at Rs 100 crore. “Releasing on a Normal Thursday #Si3Hits100CRIn6Days ! Thank you for all the support Fans (sic) @Suriya_offl @rajsekarpandian @Jharrisjayaraj”,
Singam 3 has fared exceptionally well at the Box Office worldwide. Be it in Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Karnataka, the Suriya starrer had a terrific opening weekend and was rock steady on the weekdays as well. At Karnataka, Singam emerged as the second highest opener after Rajinikanth starrer Kabali.
Singam 3 marks the debut of a bodybuilding champion and TV actor Thakur Anoop Singh. The actor, who made his TV debut with the role of the blind king Dhritarashtra in the hit Mahabharata series, essays the main antagonist in Singam 3.
