Kaun Banega Crorepati is finally back with its new season. Putting a rest on all the speculations around having Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the new host, the promo of the season 9 of the TV show is out and it has Amitabh Bachchan. The 30-second promo shows a Baarat as the theme song of KBC runs in the background and soon Mr Bachchan emerges onscreen announcing the registration of the show.
The registration for the Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 9 begins from June 17. It’s been three years that the show hasn’t seen the light of the day. The reports also have it that the new season will be comparatively shorter this time. This is also because the channel, Sony Entertainment Television, is keen to revive many reality TV shows this year. Apart from the Sunil Grover’s comedy show, the channel also has Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, which is returning after two years, along with the second season fo Super Dancer.
Kaun Banega Crorepati is one of the most loved reality TV shows on Indian television. The show’s USP is its content, which honours intelligence, and is strictly limited to the common men. Celebrities have also been participating in the show by declaring that the winning money from the game will be donated to their respective charities.

Not just for the audience, KBC has been a big turn in the career of senior Bachchan as well. It is believed that when Mr Bachchan’s onscreen run wasn’t doing very well until he signed the game show which made him people’s man once again and revived his popularity.
