It looks like celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan is less about celebrities and more about movie promotions these days. While this season saw many unconventional pairs together on the couch, it was often about stars promoting their upcoming films on the show, starting right from the first episode.
SRK-Alia, Kareena-Sonam, Sidharth-Jacqueline and the Dangal star cast are among few examples of this chat show becoming more like a promotional platform. And now we hear that the recent ones to promote their film are Alai Bhatt-Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan-Kangana Ranaut.
It is also being said that the show is in its last leg and only two or three episodes are left to be shot.
While Alia-Varun has already shot for their episode to promote their upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Saif-Kangana will reportedly shoot on February 3 to promote Rangoon.

The episode will be aired a week before the film’s release and despite being a part of the film, Shahid will not be a part of the show this time, as he already made an appearance with his wife in the New Year episode.

We don’t say that it’s wrong to promote films on platforms like these, but Koffee With Karan is the only celebrity show that gave us all the inside scoops of the industry and about the stars. And with all the promotional thing the show is losing its popularity and uniqueness.
Especially this season has been a disappointment. We have had a number of celebs whose primary aim to visit this fancy show was to promote their films. Moreover, these celebs also seem even more guarded about their personal lives, which, ideally, should not be the resistance on Koffee With Karan at least.
