If you thought that television is not offering something new to viewers in terms of content, one a new show might change that perception. Star Plus is coming up with a new show titled Aarambh which will be written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, the man who wrote Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. In fact, this new show has a connection to Baahubali as the female lead will be called Devasena, the same name that Amrendra Baahubali’s wife had in Baahubali.
Grapevine is abuzz that the channel will make it as a magnum opus and invest a lot of money in this show. Apparently, the show will tell the story of Aryan and Dravidian civilizations. Both these civilizations were contradicting in their nature. While Aryan was essentially a patriarchal society, Dravidian gave a lot of importance to women. The battle between these two forms the crux of the story.
The show will feature Rajneesh Duggal in the male lead and will be directed by Goldie Bahl, apparently. It will show the love story of Devasena (a fiery fighter from Dravidian civilization) and Varundev (a brave warrior of Aryan clan). How they hit off immediately would be chronicled in the show. What makes the show interesting is that the Aryan clan wished to attack the Dravidian civilization as it was a prosperous one. The show will also feature veteran actress Tanuja in the role of someone who saw the impending romance between the civilizations.
Baahubali and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion which has been written by KV Vijayendra Prasad has already created a lot buzz and garnered huge success at the Box Office. So it will be interesting to watch if his new show will manage to bring back the same magic on the small screen or not.
