Anyone who has grown up in the 90s would know that Tulsi and Parvati were much more than characters of television. They taught many of family values and selfless nature. And Tulsi and Parvati, played by Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar respectively, met recently and were joined by someone else too. Ekta Kapoor, who made Tulsi and Parvati household names, ran into them in Delhi and shared the picture on social media.
The picture is a happy one and will instantly transport you to the good old days. Ekta Kapoor’s serials Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii became the topic of discussion in the Indian household. Every time Mihir died in Kyunki… or every time Om fought with Parvati in Kahaani…, it gave Indians something to talk about. Tulsi and Parvati did not live their lives alone, their share of problems became own of people across India.
But lives have changed drastically after the serials. Smriti Irani joined politics and is now serving as Cabinet Minister for Textile. Sakshi Tanwar became a part of 2016’s biggest blockbuster Dangal. Apart from that, she will also be seen in ALTBalaji’s new show Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat, opposite Ram Kapoor.
ALTBalaji is Ekta Kapoor’s foray into digital entertainment and boasts of a number of shows. At the launch of this app in Delhi, Ekta said she has something new to offer to everyone.

“My biggest source of relief and enjoyment is that I am getting to do 20 episodes for the first time. I used to feel tired when I was doing 1,000 episodes for some of my shows,” Ekta Kapoor said.

Maybe her talking about 1000 episodes hinted towards Kyunki… and Kahaani…, as both the shows ran for a really long time. But now after seeing the three ladies in one picture, we are sure the fans would be more than happy.
