Priya Sindhu believes her life would have been much better if she had been from a big city instead of Meerut, but the 23-year-old has proved that it does not matter where you’re from but what you do to get where you want to be. In this year’s Roadies, Sindhu was one of the toughest contestants.
Hailing from a small village near Meerut, Sindhu is a now a model, singer and an actress looking to make her mark in the world. During her audition, the story of her struggle to reach where she did moved the judges and shocked viewers. Priya Sindhu, as it turned out, was at the centre of a fight in her village at 16, but nobody supported her.
However, she came out strong and moved to Mumbai to pursue her career. At the Roadies Xtreme audition, she showed her physical strength and won the heart of almost all the judges. She started with pull-ups, then did some clap push-ups and then judges brought in a national level athlete to complete with her, but Priya remained unfazed, ultimately getting selected.
