Before he became a superstar, Shah Rukh Khan starred in a TV serial named Circus. All those who have seen the serial would remember SRK as the Malayalee circus owner, Shekharan whose life revolved around his business. Those who haven’t watched it, you need not fret as the serial is all set to return to the television sets.
The serial was directed by Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah.
The channel Doordarshan tweeted that Circus (1989) will be aired from 19 February at 8 PM.This news made many happy including actress Renuka Shahane, who played SRK’s love interest in the serial. She took to Twitter to express her joy.
Circus was the second serial which added weight to Shah Rukh’s acting resume, the first one being Fauji. After these serials, Shah Rukh went on to script history in Bollywood. He debuted with the 1992 film Deewana and there was no stopping him after that. With his hard work and dedication, SRK earned the title of King Khan.

SRK’s last on-screen outing Raees was loved by both viewers and critics. By playing a bootlegger in this Rahul Dholakia directorial, Shah Rukh Khan proved his mettle as an actor. He has been constantly reinventing himself as an actor and giving his fans more and more reasons to fall in love with him.

The 51-year-old superstar will be seen next in Imtiaz Ali’s movie opposite Anushka Sharma in a love story where he is said to be playing a tour guide in the film. SRK will also be seen in a film helmed by Aanand L Rai, in which he plays the role of a dwarf.
