It looks like the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show have found a new way to bring Sunil Grover back. After the ugly mid-air spat between Kapil Sharma and Grover, TKSS has suffered a lot because of all the negative publicity and Sunil’s exit from the show.
The controversy became a prime time debate topic and the fans of both the comedian went into complete shock after Grover decided to quit the show. Not only Sunil, but Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar also said goodbye to the show. After their exit, the TRP’s of TKSS rapidly went down, so and so that the makers gave Kapil an extension of one month to bring it back on track or else they will not renew the contract of the show.
According to a DNA report, Sony channel was to sign a Rs 107 crore deal with Kapil to be a Sony talent for one year. But Kapil and Sunil’s fight affected the channel and the show so badly that they have apparently decided to not ahead with the deal.
It is also being said that while the channel is no mood to make a deal with Kapil Sharma, they are surely interested in retaining Sunil Grover. In an interview with DNA, a source revealed that the channel is planning to come up with a new show featuring Sunil Grover. He further added: ”Sony has rights to his characters – Rinku Bhabhi and Dr Mashur Gulati and they are incredible characters in their own spaces already. So they might have a show with these characters.”
While the whole controversy has brought Kapil Sharma in a bad light, it looks like things are in favour of Sunil Grover. Well, if there is any truth to this news, we wonder how Kapil is going to react on this.
