Sunil Grover is on a high after his live gig at Delhi last week attracted huge crowds. It is evident that his fan following remains intact despite staying aloof from The Kapil Sharma Show. In fact, the 39-year-old comedian revealed that he is attached to live performances and will continue to do so. He said there was lot to explore in this medium.
However, Grover is hopeful of returning to television.”I haven’t given up television. In fact, I had a lot of fun shooting for the Indian Idol 9 finale this weekend,” he told DNA.
Grover’s gig at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on April 1 was a hti and audience were left gasping for breath due to laughter. He along with TKSS co-actor Kiku Sharda entertained the crowd during the performance and won a thunderous applause. However, Grover did not miss an opportunity to take an indirect jibe at Kapil Sharma by saying,”kitne log dekh rahe hain yahaan par, warna 6-7 din se sirf media waley hi dekh rahe hain.”
Sunil Grover has boycotted The Kapil Sharma Show following the in-flight brawl involving him and the show’s host Kapil Sharma. It is alleged that Sharma in a drunken state verbally and physically assaulted Grover. Since then, the latter along with co-actors Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar have not returned for shooting. Their absence has severely hit the show’s popularity. After the fallout, it is unlikely that Grover will return to TKSS
