Jamai Raja fame actress Nia Sharma has recently become the third sexiest Asian woman, following Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. Now, the actress is once again in news and this time for facing slut-shame on Instagram. Nia was having some chill moment during a photoshoot and just when she shared a video in which she is seen swaying, comments—which were very disgusting in nature—poured in. Wearing a bustier and jeans, Nia made some sizzling moves but this doesn’t go well with the Instagrammers.
“She is cheap”, “She is dustbin” and many more hateful comments started pouring in. Disturbed by the senseless comments was one of the fans who wrote, “I as a 15-year-old feel disgraced to see a woman criticizing another woman for what she wears. I as a teenager wear shorts and crop tops, does that make any less Indian?”

The video has already amassed over 1.8 lakh views. Even when these social media enthusiasts hated the video, this black and white clip is grabbing attention.
This is not the first time when any actress has been slut shamed. Earlier Pooja Bedi’s daughter Aalia faced the similar situation, however, she gave back to the haters with a blog post. She wrote, “If my cleavage is visible, it does not mean I am giving consent, it does not mean I am asking for it. I am more than my breasts and it is unfair to let them define me. I am an eighteen-year-old Indian girl and that does not take away the fact that I am allowed to dress the way I please. I wouldn’t judge or disrespect a woman in a burkha, salwar kameez or sari, and I deserve the same respect back. I am not my breasts and it is unfair to sexualise me and base my morals, my achievements and my goals and ambitions on my breasts. I am not my breasts. If my top is a little low, it does not mean I am a randi. If I choose to wear a bikini, it is my choice and it is about time we grow up and let individuals be their own people without fearing what society will say.”
Even Deepika Padukone was slut-shamed by a popular daily over her cleavage. Apart from Nia, Deepika, Aalia, there are many other actresses who have faced such things on the internet.
Nia is all set to appear in Vikram Bhatt’s web series Twisted.
