After releasing swift romantic and a Sufi number, the makers of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil have released a foot tapping number — The Breakup Song. As interesting as the title of the song is, its soul lies in the peppy, heavy-on-beat music. The Breakup song features Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma doing some crazy dancing in a club as the two celebrate the end of a relationship in a rather fantastic way.
“Mere saiyan ji se aaj maine breakup kar liya…” (I broke up with my man today) remains the catchy line of the song. A glimpse at the video and it’ll remind you of carefree dancing of Ranbir in songs like Ghaghra and Dilli Wali Girlfriend from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Anushka’s funky dancing adds a big surprise to the song.
Sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita, the song also includes a rap by Baadshah. It serves as one of those party essential songs which is seen in almost all Karan Johar movies — starting from You Are My Soniya (Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham), It’s The time To Disco (Kal Ho Na Ho), Disco Deewane (Student Of The Year) to Batmeez Dil (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) and Kar Gayi Chull (Kapoor & Sons).
The song also gives you a glimpse of Lisa Haydon in the film.
The wait for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which is slated to release on 28 October, is getting higher with each of its new song. Whether the title song, Bulleya or Channa Mereya, all of the film’s songs have created a stir among the audiences. The music of this Karan Johar directorial, given by Pritam Chakraborty, has unarguably won over the audiences’ hearts. However, the sword of the unfortunate Pakistani artistes ban is still lingering on the head of its release. Meanwhile, watch the trailer of Ae Dil hai Mushkil again.
Being the big Diwali release this year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is facing a Box Office clash with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay.
