There really is no nice way to put this: the trailer of Student Of The Year 2 just dropped and has left us gagging…and not in a good way. This 3-minute trailer is an assault on the senses from start to finish. There is about two seconds of Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday each and the rest is all Tiger Shroff’s hairless, chiselled shiny bod in our faces.
Are these kids going to college? Are they training for the Olympics? Are they reality show contestants and no one told them that they are? Is this Flying Jatt 3? Wait is that an AXE commercial in the middle of nowhere?
Who cares! Tiger baba ke abs dekho na bawa!
Punit Malhotra’s brilliant direction seems to have somehow managed to make a crappier version of the 2012 Student Of The Year…you know the fluff-fest that launched the careers of star kids Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and non-star kid Sidharth Malhotra. Malhotra’s counterpart this time is Sutaria and she is also the good girl with big dreams and…wait why are we explaining possible character arcs! Tiger baba ke abs dekho na!
The film releases on May 10 and we can’t wait to watch this fantastic piece of cinema, and die laughing in the process. This film is going to be total khilli (laugh riot), as Bengalis say.
