Let’s all agree to agree that dosas have your back, in sickness or in health. One of the many Indian delicacies to have found global fame, dosas have found an unexpected celebrity brand ambassador. A US-based restaurant, Dosa Labs, recently named a dish after actor Deepika Padukone, and the internet has not been the same since.

Deepika became a global celebrity after making her big Hollywood debut in 2017 with XXX: Return of Xander Cage, starring opposite Vin Diesel in a star-studded ensemble cast. Both Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh shared the picture of the menu on their social media accounts. While Deepika posted an Instagram story with “Hungry anyone?” written on it, Ranveer posted the same image with a cheeky caption that said, “I’d eat that”.
The restaurant’s menu describes the ‘Deepika Padukone’ dosa as “topped with fiery hot ghost chili and stuffed with our potato mix’ and is priced at $10. Deepika’s popularity has seen a meteoric rise as she even earned a place among Time magazine’s list of ‘100 Most Influential People In The World’ last year.

After the couple’s whirlwind wedding in November, both Deepika and Ranveer have been constantly talked about in the media and questioned about finding marital bliss in interviews. With quite a few interesting releases this year, it’ll be a while before we can stop talking about the couple.
