Varun Dhawan is celebrating his 30th birthday today. The actor who made his Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year four years ago has since come a long way. When it comes to showing at the box office, none of his films has failed to set the cash registers ringing at cinema halls.
The actor started out as an assistant director for Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan. It took him two years to grace the silver screen. However, we bumped into a throwback of a 13-year-old Varun sharing screen space with his father David Dhawan. Yes, he appeared as a guest on yesteryear talk show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai which aired in early 2000s.
Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai was hosted by late actor Farooque Sheikh who invited prominent celebrities on his show. The one-hour-long show helped them recollect their memories right from their early days. On one such episode, David Dhawan was the guest and he talked about his life as an editor. His sons Varun and Rohit also made it to the show and had sweet words to say for their father.
“I want to say that he is the best father in the world. I pray to be their son again,” a young Varun said about his father. Who knew that the doting son would end up being a member of the Rs 100 crore club. It includes Main Tera Hero, which was directed by David Dhawan. At present, Varun is in London shooting for Judwaa 2, directed by his father.
