The topic of sexual desires is hidden under the carpet by the society. Talking openly about desires isn’t quite welcomed by people. But deep down almost everyone knows that silencing things won’t really help anyone. And we are glad that Terribly Tiny Talkies (TTT), a channel on YouTube, decided to scratch this. Their recent short film starring Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta is just the thing you need to watch today.
Titled Khujli, this short film which is directed by Sonam Nair talks about the desires of a couple married for 25 years. The conversation between them starts when the husband Girdharilal finds a set of handcuffs in his son’s room. As the angry father shows the handcuffs to his wife Roopmati, he discovers she is not alien to the knowledge.
Roopmati surprises him in by telling him a lot about BDSM and the lifestyle. Girdharilal stays stunned on learning that his wife knew all this from the book 50 Shades of Grey. How the two stepped out from their comfort zone forms the rest of the story.
Both Neena and Jackie have done a tremendous job in bringing out the desires of a middle-aged couple. This film undoubtedly puts the spotlight on many ignored things about marriage.

Khujli is a light hearted film. I loved the story and the way Sonam (Nair) narrated it.
