Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees is not only about a shotgun-toting bootlegger taking on his rivals without any complaints while dealing with an honest cop. He is a lover at heart and does not miss any opportunity to make his ladylove feel special. Besides this, he even does a Garba with her. Yes, the much awaited Udi Udi Jaaye song from the Rahul Dholakia directorial venture is out and is a treat to watch.
If you are still awestruck with the sensuous Laila song and humming the romantic Zaalima song from the film, Udi Udi Jaaye will instill fresh enthusiasm within you. Composed by Ram Sampath, the song has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Bhoomi Trivedi and Karsan Sagathia. SRK is known as the king of romance, and the manner in which he treats his on-screen love interest Mahira Khan is just too cute.
What makes the song more special is the Garba dance sequence in the film, which is SRK’s first in his 25-year-long illustruous career. His Garba moves and on-screen chemistry with Mahira are enough to give you goosebumps. Just look at the vigour and enthusiasm with which Khan dances in the song.
Raees features Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. Set in Gujarat, the film chronicles the story of a bootlegger played by Khan. Sunny Leone makes an appearance in the song Laila which has become crazily popular.
The film has run into several controversies before it hits the theatre on 25 January. Mushtaq Shaikh, son of yesteryear Gujarat don Abdul Latif, has alleged that the film has been based on his father’s life. He also threatened to file a defamation suit to the tune of Rs 100 crore if the film is released. Also, Mahira’s presence in the film has invited Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena ire. SRK personally met Thackeray and assured him that Mahira will not promote the film.
