Naam Shabana also stars Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo as the lead of the RAW operation Ajay Singh Rajput. Earlier, there were reports that the Tamil dubbed version of Naam Shabana will be revealed on the last week of February.
And on Sunday morning, the makers released the two-minute and fourteen-second long trailer on their official YouTube Channel. Naam Shabana is based on the character of Shabana Kaif, played by Taapsee Pannu, focusing on her journey to becoming a RAW agent in Akshay Kumar’s team. The film tells the story of Taapsee’s character before the film Baby.
Both Prithviraj Sukumaran and Taapsee Pannu are already established stars down South and this has worked in favor of makers to release the Tamil version of the film. Meanwhile, Naam Shabana also marks the third Bollywood outing of Prithviraj after Yash Raj Films’ Aiyya and Aurangzeb and third Taapsee film of 2017 after The Ghazi Attack and Running Shaadi.
Both Hindi and Telugu versions are scheduled to be released on 31 March 2017.
