Zayn Malik is an international heartthrob, but he doesn’t shy away from the occasional Hindi cover. The former member of the worldwide sensation, One Direction, dropped a cover of Allah Duhai from Race 3. Malik, born in Britain to Pakistani parents, knows a thing or two about desi cinema and music.
He’s previously surprised his audience with covers of Kailash Kher’s Teri Deewani and Allah Ke Bandeh. And even though Malik seems to be fully invested in the Sufi alaaps of the songs, does he successfully land all of them properly? Not really.

Even in the Allah Duhai Hai cover, Malik tries his best to sing as well as our Bollywood playbacks. Unfortunately, the chorus sounds like the point in the song, where auto-tune takes over.
Zayn Malik has mentioned his love for Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan. The actor met the popstar at a recent awards function, and their picture together broke the Internet. Will all this help Malik enter Bollywood playback? Who knows. But if he really wants to make his way in, there’s some work to be done. Buck up, Zayn!
