11 Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Monday were awarded double life sentence by the Thiruvananthapuram Additional Sessions Court in connection with the murder of a Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) worker, Vishnu back in 2008.
The court had found the accused guilty last week. According to reports, the accused murdered the DYFI leader by attacking him with swords and other sharp weapons. They allegedly had to settle a personal score with the victim.
16 RSS activists were accused of killing Vishnu. However, one of them died in 2008 while one is absconding. Another accused was acquitted by the court.
