In a shocking piece of news, a 23-year-old trainee software engineer was shot dead by unknown assailants inside her apartment in Noida’s Sector 62 on May 31, according to the media reports. The girl has been identified as Anjali Rathour, hailing from Jagadhri near Yamuna Nagar in Haryana. According to the Noida Police, Anjali Rathour, working with a leading mobile manufacturing company, was shot in her head.

“Her family and relatives were informed about the incident and the body was sent for a postmortem examination,” Police said. According to the Hindustan Times report, Anjali Rathour’s family members in their complaint have alleged that she was killed by a friend who hails from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh.

“The man who shot her hasn’t been identified. How she received bullet has been recorded. We are probing the matter from all angles,” Hindustan Times quoted Arun Singh, superintendent of police (city), as saying.

A case of murder has been registered at the Sector 58 police station and investigations have begun.
