The Guwahati Police are driving home serious message with their sharp-witted posts on social media. Seeking to draw the attention of public towards the drug problem, the city police asked for “the most popular place to buy ganja” in its usual tongue-in-cheek style.
Using a cartoon of Shahid Kapoor’s character from the film ‘Kabir Singh’, the police’s official handle in a tweet said they “wanted to buy it in wholesale rate”.

Lately, the Assam police are making clever use of puns, hashtags and memes to raise awareness on issues such as cyber stalking, traffic safety and an anti-drugs campaign.
