ABVP protest in DU: Activists display photos of RSS workers killed in Kerala

ABVP activists are leading a protest march while seeking a nationwide campus ban on Leftist groups in the North Campus of DU

The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists who are leading a protest march in the North Campus of the Delhi University were seen carrying posters of the RSS workers who were killed in Kerala. The members of the Prajaswamya Parirakshana Samithi also staged a protest in Andhra Pradesh against the Kerala killings while lashing out at the government for not taking stern action against the killings.

Recently, the members of the ABVP also led a protest march in Amritsar over the same issue. The activists carried placards with slogans like, “Stop marxist violence against swayamsevak in Kerala,” and “Stop communist terrorism in India.” RSS leaders have claimed that over 13 workers have been killed in a year and alleged that CPI (M) was supporting these killings.

Meanwhile, ABVP activists are leading a protest march while seeking a nationwide campus ban on Leftist groups. This came just days after the students from the Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University took to streets to protest against the violence allegedly caused by ABVP which caused grave injuries to several students and faculty members. The ABVP is demanding filing of chargesheet against 3 people involved in the JNU sedition case.

Ramjas college had last week witnessed large-scale violence between members of the AISA and the ABVP leading to several injuries. The reason behind the clashes was an invite extended to JNU students Umar Khalid—who is facing sedition charge—and Shehla Rashid to address a seminar. The seminar was withdrawn by the college authorities following opposition by the ABVP.
