The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the hearing in Adarsh Housing Society matter till October 6.
The society has sought more time to send notices to take more than 90 residents who have locked their flats, ANI reported.
The Apex court had earlier asked the Centre to respond to a plea of the Adarsh Housing Society on the maintenance of the 29-storey building.
The top court in its July 22 order had asked the Centre to secure the possession of the building for Kargil heroes and war widows.
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court in a hearing on September 29 expressed its dissatisfaction over a probe report submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the four benami flats in the Adarsh cooperative housing society.
A division bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Amjad Sayed while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by activist Pravin Wategaonkar, in which he has alleged that benami flats were to be given to senior politicians in exchange of clearing files relating to the society said that, “We are not satisfied with this report. It is silent on very specific queries raised by us and the petition on the last hearing,” the Indian Express reported.
