After demonetisation, now Modi govt wants you to get a parking space certificate before you buy a car

The Government is coming up with a rule under which people may have to show parking space availability certificate to get their vehicle registered.

Considering the increase in number of vehicles in the country, the government may come up with a rule under which no vehicles will be registered unless the construction authorities have parking space availability certificate issued to them. This thought is given as a measure to decrease the crowd and congest on the roads that can be witnessed today.
The announcement was made by Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu while addressing at Government Calendar 2017 launch in New Delhi.
Venkaiah Naidu further went on to notify that permission will not be given to authorities for any construction if they do not have the facility of toilets in the building.

“In future,it would be necessary that  permission will not be given to any construction authority without a toilet. Also, no car or vehicle should be registered without adequate parking space availability certificate,” he added.

On Thursday December 22, the minister also announced the launch of Google Toilet locator app with the help of which the nearby toilets can easily be located by simply following a basic procedure. People will just have to open Google maps, type the keywords like toilets, Swachh Bharat or the likes and the restroom near them will be located.

The Minister further said that the initiative was taken under the government’s “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”

M.Venkaiah Naidu serves as Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting.
