Journalist Arnab Goswami’s news channel Republic TV went live on May 6 and the first episode did an expose story on alleged nexus between RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and gangster Md. Shahabuddin. For viewers who are still clueless where to watch the newly launched channel, we have all the answers for you.

Republic TV could be watched on India’s digital platform Hotstar , which makes it the first Indian news channel to be livestreamed on such a medium. The channel has started live-streaming at 10 am today . Besides the channel has also launched its website republicworld.com. Speaking about the tie up, Channel’s editor-in-chief   said it will ensure that one can watch the news on the go.  “We are confident of breaking the digital barrier and believe this is the first step as news produced in India goes digital and then global. We believe the coming together of these two exciting brands and services will take news to the 90 million plus viewers on Hotstar every month.” he said.

On its first day, the channel dropped a bomb with its expose story on alleged nexus between Lalu Prasad and Shahabuddin who is currently lodged in Tihar jail. The story has triggered twitter trend #LaluTapeExposed. In the aforementioned tape, RJD chief could be heard taking orders from jailed criminal, Mohammad Shahbuddin.
