Paresh Rawal has kicked up a storm on Twitter saying that Arundhati Roy should have been tied to the army jeep instead of "stone pelter"

Noted Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal sparked a row on Twitter after he tweeted that author Arundhati Roy should be tied to the Army jeep instead of the “stone pelter”. Paresh Rawal’s comment comes in the backdrop of a video that went viral on social media where a man was seen tied to an Army jeep and was allegedly used a “human shield” against stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Instead of tying stone pelter on the army jeep tie Arundhati Roy,” Paresh Rawal was tweeted as saying. However, the reason why Paresh Rawal chose to make such  a comment against the author is known yet. The tweet has not gone down well with a number of people on social media where Twitterati lashed out at Rawal for making such a remark against a renowned author.

Paresh Rawal is a member of the Lok Sabha and belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Arundhati Roy shot to fame in 1997 when her novel ‘The God of Small Things’ released and won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction. The author is also extremely vocal about a number of human rights issues across the country.
