Noted Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal sparked a row on Twitter after he tweeted that author Arundhati Roy should be tied to the Army jeep instead of the “stone pelter”. Paresh Rawal’s comment comes in the backdrop of a video that went viral on social media where a man was seen tied to an Army jeep and was allegedly used a “human shield” against stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Instead of tying stone pelter on the army jeep tie Arundhati Roy,” Paresh Rawal was tweeted as saying. However, the reason why Paresh Rawal chose to make such a comment against the author is known yet. The tweet has not gone down well with a number of people on social media where Twitterati lashed out at Rawal for making such a remark against a renowned author.
@SirPareshRawal Am deeply moved by your empathy that brings every character to life in movies. But I’m shocked by your ability to be so violent with words!

@SriSriPanda @SirPareshRawal I do not react to individuals. I will happily react to issues. Tying someone to a jeep is illegal. Period.

Here’s the video of a man tied to an Army jeep that went viral in April
Here’s the video as well. A warning can be heard saying stone pelters will meet this fate. This requires an urgent inquiry & follow up NOW!! pic.twitter.com/qj1rnCVazn
