The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on May 8 came forward to defend Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that the Central Government was leaving no stone unturned to “destroy” their party. The party has further claimed that the sacked minister Kapil Mishra who has levelled serious allegations against Arvind Kejriwal is a part of a “big conspiracy”.
AAP’s Sanjay Singh addressed a press conference and termed the allegations as completely “baseless”. While speaking to the media, Singh said that Kapil Mishra’s story did not add up and that his actions only prove that he is making such accusations because he was removed from the post. Senior AAP leaders including Ashutosh and Dilip Pandey were also present in the press conference.
“Instead of eradicating terrorism and Naxalism, BJP is trying to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party. People are trying to conspire against the party via Kapil Mishra,” Sanjay Singh said.

Singh asserted that it was Kapil Mishra who had objected when the ACB had targetted Kejriwal earlier but was now claiming that he had proof against the Delhi Chief Minister. Sanjay Singh went all out to blame BJP for conspiring and using Kapil Mishra to create a rift in the party. He added that Mishra was only repeating the Centre’s words.
Earlier today, Kapil Mishra reached the anti-corruption bureau and submitted the documents he claimed will “expose” the water tanker scam. He has further stated that he will now approach the CBI. This comes a day after Kapil Mishra shocked everyone when he claimed that he had seen Arvind Kejriwal receive a bribe of Rs 2 crore from Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain at his residence.
Mishra has also dare Arvind Kejriwal and Satyendra Jain to take a lie detector test.
