Delhi University announces third cut off list, drop up to 3 percentage points in several courses

Students who are eligible for admission as per the third cut off list of the Delhi University are advised to carry out the formalities of admission at the concerned colleges

The Delhi University on Thursday released the third cut off list for admissions to various Undergraduate Courses (based on merit) for the Academic Year 2017-2018. The lists of different colleges for their cut off will also be released separately.

Students who are eligible for admission as per the third cut off list, are advised to carry out the formalities of admission at the concerned colleges. Students are also being advised to consult the respective colleges for clarification and further details in connection with the admission process.

After the process of admissions from the second cut off list was completed, more than 50% seats at most of the colleges have been filled. However, it is likely that nearly 28,000 seats are still vacant for which admissions will be carried out from the third cut off list.

The cut off in the third list has dipped by up to 3 percentage points in many popular courses. As per the list, seats for honours courses are still vacant in top colleges like Hindu, Hans Raj, Ramjas, Kirori Mal, Miranda House, Sri Venkateswara, Lady Shri Ram and Indraprastha College for Women.

Yet again, Lady Sri Ram college has topped in the third cutoff list, seeking 98% for admission to BA Psychology. The same course had the highest cutoff in the second list at 98.25%.

The list has been announced in online as well as offline modes. These cut off lists are the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score to be eligible for the admission to the undergraduate programme in a Delhi University college. Two lists have already been announced before this. The third cut off list will be calculated by every affiliated college of the Delhi University.
