Ending all the speculations and anticipation, the Central Board of Secondary Education declared the results of CBSE Class 12 exam 2017 on May 28. A student of Amity International School, Noida, Raksha Gopal who scored 99.6% was declared as the CBSE topper 2017.
At least 11 lakh students appeared for the CBSE exams that were conducted between March 9 and April 29. The results were made available on the official website of CBSE www.cbse.nic.in. While the students can download and take a printout of their results for the future reference, the official pass certificate and the marksheet will be provided to the students from their respective school. Here are the top three CBSE toppers 2017:
- Raksha Gopal of Amity International School, Noida – 99.6%. She has managed to score a perfect 100 in English Core, Economics and political science. She apparently wants to apply in Delhi University and pursue political science. Check her marksheet here:
- Bhumi Sawant from DAV School, Chandigarh is the second CBSE topper 99.4%
- Aditya Jain from Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir and Mannat Luthra, Chandigarh secured 99.2% and bagged the third spot.
Last year, Sukriti Gupta, a student of Delhi’s Montfort School in Ashok Vihar had topped the exam by securing 99.4% in the exams. She had scored 497 out of 500 marks. Last year girls had outshined boys in 2016 their pass percentage was 88.58. The pass percentage for boys stood at 78.85. This year girls have done better than boys as their pass percentage stands at 87.50% while the pass percentage for boys is 78%.
With the results announced, the students will now frantically start applying for the number of undergraduate courses available across the country and abroad. The first cut-off list for Delhi University will be out on June 20.
