The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) announced CBSE Class 10 result this afternoon, reported news agency ANI. Nearly 16.67 lakh students had appeared for the examination this year. The students can check their results on the official website of the board – www.cbseresults.nic.in and also on www.cbse.nic.in and www.results.nic.in.
The schools will automatically get their entire results on email ids already registered with the Board. However, the result will not be available in the Board and the public are advised not to visit CBSE office for collection of results.
Topping this year’s CBSE Class XII results on May 28, Raksha Gopal, a student of Amity International School scored 99.6 percent and became all India topper.
The CBSE had earlier this month, decided to not to move the Supreme Court to challenge the Delhi High Court instructions stating that evaluation for the class 10 exams this year should be done as per the grace marks policy.
Aiming to check high cut-offs in colleges, the CBSE had scrapped the moderation policy under which grace marks are given to the students in exams for difficult questions.
Under the moderation policy, students are awarded up to 15 per cent extra marks in certain papers if the questions are deemed to be difficult.
Here’s how the students can check their CBSE Class 10 Result:
For the 20th consecutive year, CBSE will be providing counselling services to students and parents to overcome stress and common psychological problems and general queries related to CBSE Class 10 Result and also CBSE Class 12 Result.
Last year, the overall pass percentage was at 96.21 percent of the 14,96,066 students who appeared for the class 10 exam.
