In yet another case of crime in moving trains, a Delhi-Patna Rajdhani Express was targeted by unidentified dacoits near Buxar district of Bihar. Following the incident, a coach attendant of the Rajdhani express has been detained for allegedly helping the dacoits – who looted three coaches.
At least four passengers have lodged complaints with the railway police that their suitcases were looted by three men who were allegedly let in by the attendant. The passengers also alleged that they were thrashed by the dacoits who looted A4, B1 and B2 coaches of the train.
The railway police in Patna claimed that they have suspended ASI Railway Police Force (RPF) in-charge of escort and that they are also taking action against escort party for their failure to detect the incident of theft.
Meanwhile, Railway minister Suresh Prabhu has asked the railway police to coordinate with Bihar police.

On April 3, robbers sabotaged a signal cable and halted the Kerala Express midway near Morappur and looted over 14 sovereigns of gold from passengers. The incident had happened in the Delhi-bound Kerala Express.
Similary on April 6, armed robbers fired in the air to keep security forces at bay, thrashed passengers who tried to resist, and looted cash and valuables worth over Rs 1 lakh on the Jaynagar-Ranchi Express.
The incident occurred on the Rajendra railway bridge in the Mokama-Kiul section of East Central Railway in Begusarai district.
