Months after she had last spoken to her estranged father, KP Radhakrishnan’s daughter returned to check up on him only to find his skeleton at his house in Thiruvananthapuram. Radhakrishnan had reportedly broken all ties with his family members and relatives and had not been in touch with them for months.
The police stated that it was possible Radhakrishnan may have passed away five months ago in April. Radhakrishnan, who was a retired tutor at a dental college, was living alone away from his family on Old Medical College road. His daughter was in Kasargod. The deceased’s daughter went to meet him after failing to get in touch with him for the last few months. The incident came to the light after she went into the house and was not able to find him.

Radhakrishnan’s daughter, who is a medical student, informed the police who later found her father’s skeleton in the living room. The girl told the police officials that she had not spoken to her father for a long time and hence had decided to visit him after five months. She found the house locked upon reaching the place following which she decided to call the police. The police broke the door of the house and found the skeleton in the living room.
Medical college police SHO Girilal B was quoted as saying,
We broke the door after we got the complaint and the body was fully decomposed and was eaten by termites. Postmortem was done and we are waiting for the report. He had issues with his wife and they were separated for years. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
The police also found a newspaper from April which hinted that he might have died in April.
