Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his name surfaced in the FIR regarding irregularities in the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW).
“Don’t know why my name is in the FIR,” the Aam Aadmi Party leader told reporters.
“Without the Prime Minister’s approval, a Chief Minister’s name doesn’t comes in an FIR.”
Kejriwal’s remarks came after the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Delhi government lodged a FIR against DCW chief Swati Maliwal on Monday night over complaints of alleged irregular recruitment.
“Arvind Kejriwal ji’s name was included in the FIR based on a complaint. ACB has no role in this,” ACB chief MK Meena was quoted by ANI as saying.
