Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener initiated the fogging drive from his residence at Flag Staff road on Thursday morning.
The month-long fogging drive is a part of Delhi government’s efforts to make the city ‘free of mosquitoes’.
The drive will begin with nearly 200 fogging machines and by September 26, 600 machines will be deployed, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said in a press conference, PTI reported.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal and his minister faced flak from the public for not being in Delhi at a time when the city was battling a deadly outbreak of Dengue and Chikungunya.
While the CM was away for his throat surgery in Bengaluru, Delhi LG Najeeb Jung too was not in town. Other Delhi minister seen missing from the city at the time of a deadly outbreak was Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who was in Finland for an education program.
