In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old woman was found hanging from the ceiling in Delhi’s Kashmere Gate metro station. She found was hanging from a pipe in a secluded room in the metro station.
According to reports, the police officials were informed about the incident at about 8:30 AM after an employee found the woman dead in a room. Reports suggest that a sweeper saw the wdeceased hanging from the supply pipe of the platform no 2 of the metro station when he stepped in to clean the room. Following which, theKashmere Gate metro station authorities called the police.
The room where the woman hung herself was used by only of the members of the staff. Even though the cause of the suicide has not been ascertain as yet, the woman purpotedly entered the metro station at about 11 PM. She also allegedly hung herself using her dupatta.
The identity of the woman has not identified as yet. The polcie have launched an investigation and are trying to probe how the entire incident unfolded. The security officials are also trying to figure if she entered the metro station alone or was accompanied by someone with the help of CCTV footage.
“We are trying to ascertain the woman’s identity, till the her body will be preserved at the mortuary. “She was not carrying any bag or ID that would help us ascertain her identity. There is no suicide note. We have contacted local police station of nearby district to help us identify her,” a police official told Hinduatan Times.
