Don’t just salute, help India’s bravehearts through ‘Bharat Ke veer’ website. Here’s how

You can donate directly to individual braveheart’s account, upto max of Rs 15 lakh, or may donate to the “Bharat Ke Veer” corpus

On Monday, April 24, twenty-five men of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred in a Naxal ambush in Sukma in Chattisgarh. The Naxals came prepared. They attacked the CRPF men when they were having lunch around 12:30 pm on Monday. The attack took place when the troops were “may be not in an absolute alert mode”. As soon as they were attacked, the 25 men who were martyred and six others who got injured, tried to gather their weapons to launch the counter attack. But the others on the guard duty gave an effective retaliation and saved about 40 civilians and construction workers in the deadly assault that lasted for over an hour.

This attack on CRPF men was the deadliest in the last seven years. But several other attacks have taken away the precious lives of our security personnel.

To aid the families of those security men who have lost their lives, the Ministry of Home Affairs has launched a site bharatkeveer.gov.in to directly send your contributions to the family of the martyrs.

The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) are armed forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs and comprise of:
Assam Rifles (AR), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), National Security Guard (NSG), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

“Bharat Ke Veer” corpus would be managed by a committee made up of eminent persons of repute and senior government officials, in equal number, who would decide to disburse the fund equitably to the braveheart’s family on need basis.

You can donate directly to individual braveheart’s account (upto max of Rs 15 lakh) or may donate to the “Bharat Ke Veer” corpus. To ensure maximum coverage, a cap of Rs 15 lakh has been envisaged per braveheart and the donor would be alerted if the amount exceeds Rs 15 lakh. They can choose to either decrease their contribution or divert part of the donation to another braveheart’s account, or to the “Bharat Ke Veer” corpus.
