Drunk Driver Runs Away With Traffic Cop’s Alcometre. Welcome, You Are In Delhi

Drunk driving is a crime, running away with alcometre isn't?

If you are in Delhi, you must be familiar with this sight.  Motorists pleading with traffic policemen besides parked cars. Delhiites like to party an then take their gaddis out for a spin after hitting all the ‘high’ notes.  But in this bizarre case, a man snatched a policeman’s alcometre after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident happened last week in Connaught Place, when the accused Rishi Dhingra was confronted by the police.

According to a report by The Hindustan Times, Dhingra was stopped by a head constable who asked him to blow the alcometre, the device that detects alcohol content. It was later detected that he was under the influence of alcohol. However, instead of paying the stipulated fine, he grabbed the alcometre from the policeman’s hand and sped away.
