Soon after his arrest, prankster Sumit Verma, who has posted a video on YouTube in which he was seen randomly kissing girls and running away, was let off after he claimed that the women in the clip were crew members who knew what was happening.
Delhi Police detained the prankster, who calls himself “The Crazy Sumit” on YouTube, and his cameraman associate on Friday from Gurugram.
During the interrogation, Sumit said they shot such films with the objective of attracting views on YouTube and translating these into earnings.
Sumit told police that they earned around Rs 70,000 for this particular film.

Both the youths were let off after questioning, but were asked to join the investigations later. The cops are waiting for the women seen in the video to record their statements. However, even if the incidents were staged, police officers said, the duo could still be booked for engaging in obscenity in public places.
Joint commissioner Ravindra Yadav said that Sumit had uploaded more than 35 clips on his account since last year and received over one lakh hits.
